multiple choice question with comments

Hello world,

I created a multiple choice question with comments. I didn't tell the program which answer is right because the question is about opinions and several answers can be right. I am also interested in the explanations of the participants' choice which should be written down in the comments.

Now my problem is: If I have a look in the preview, I can click on all options and also write down comments but I can't go on with the next question. There is an error message that I have given a wrong solution. Do you know what I could have done wrong?

I use Version 2.05.
Thanks a lot for your help!

Hi,
please send a sample of the survey, only with this question. (*.lss)

This is just a question *lsq, q=question.

Better you create a new survey with just this question and export it as *.lss, s=survey

Otherwise we have to create a survey, inmport your question, which is language dependent, and so on.

Unfortunately I can't upgrade my version of LimeSurvey because my institution offers this version to me. The converting doesn't work. If I click on .lss export, I get a .lls.xml version?! What can I do differently?

I renamed it. Do you see the mistakes I did?

1) You have made the question mandatory and also assigned minimum answers = 1. These two settings are conflicting with each other - remove the "Mandatory" setting.

2) You have the setting Comment only when = Checkbox is checked. This means that you cannot advance if a checkbox is selected but the corresponding text input is empty. Change that setting to No control on checkbox.
