You should get in touch with them to check this error. Because only they will know what is going on with the installation, what version of LS is used, etc. Because error 404 means "file not found", so there seems to be something wrong with this particular installation.
You could try your settings here in Limesurvey demo (see link above) and see if it works there.

Provide your LS version and where it is installed (own server, uni/employer, SaaS hosting, etc.).
Always provide a LSS file (not LSQ or LSG).

Demo is the newest version, we have throuhgt our host Vession 2.67.1+170626, and the interface is totaly different.
