here is a very small example.

If you activate this survey and provide the link, anybody can fill it.
Just two questions.

I included two options:
1. At the end, the unique identifier is displayed in the end message.

Of course you will write a bit more to thank the respondent and so on.

2, If the respondent entered his email address he will get a message like this

Again you will change the text in this "basic admin notification".

This is the easy way.


Furthermore you could force the parents to register before.

If you want them to register before, you have to set:

and you are asked to intitiate a participant table.

Then people who use your link have to register and afterwards get an email like this:


Clicking the link will let them answer the survey.
If the use your generic link, they are asked to enter the "token".
And here you can use the token (here "vyWAAzQ3zzpezSa") as the identifier.

Or you leave it as it is.

I have tryed to turn on "allow public registration", I started the servey, gave my info, but when I click continue I get 404 error, url not available or something like that.

Where do you host Limesurvey? That sounds like a problem with your installation.

In Croatia per srce community,for studies,students,teachers,proffesors.

You should get in touch with them to check this error. Because only they will know what is going on with the installation, what version of LS is used, etc. Because error 404 means "file not found", so there seems to be something wrong with this particular installation.

You could try your settings here in Limesurvey demo (see link above) and see if it works there.

Demo is the newest version, we have throuhgt our host Vession 2.67.1+170626, and the interface is totaly different.
