Hi, we use Lime Survey for self assessment of persons with psychological problems.
We just upgraded to v3 and are now testing our surveys on this new release.
We use a lot of counters (equation type questions) in our surveys.
Depending on the answers given we assign a score (in answer options).
We total the score in an equation type question which normally does not display (e.g. variable "CALC")
Based on that total score of a question group different texts appears on screen (e.g. variable "CONCLUSION")
We do this by using an equation type variable with multiple "if statements".
This all worked fine in v2.
During testing I notice that the variable totalling the scores (CALC) fills okay while answering questions, but when I try to display that value in a text (CONCLUSION) it does not show correctly. The only way to display the value of the variable is to include the same definition of CALC in the CONCLUSION as an equation in the Logic tab of the definition.
Did something change in the way variables are filled in v3 vs v2 ? Or is this a matter of setup of the system on our server or the setup of Lime Survey that I missed ?
Dear Tammo and Louis,
Thanks for looking into the matter.
I am already happy that I did not do anything wrong... looking forward to your solution.
