Hello,

When using the 'Multiple numerical input' question type, how can I modify the transaltion of hints?

Nor the 'Please click and drag the slider handles to enter your answer', nor the 'Only numbers may be entered in these fields.' hints are translated into Hungarian, though the rest and other questions types are well translated (thank you!).

I use v2.06+ Build 151018.

Hi, as you see here the translation status of hungarian is rather low:
www.limesurvey.org/community/contribute/translations-status

So, the best you can do, is to participate in translating to Hungarian or change your translation.
  1. Download the po-file
  2. Download and install "poedit" from the web.
  3. Translate
  4. Save, you will get a mo-file.
  5. Upload to the correct folder of your Limesurvey installation.

Or easier: Hide the tips and include your own in the question text.

You can modify the language files and replace them in your LimeSurvey installation.
But not via the GUI of the LimeSurvey. You need to be able to get directly to the application files.

Dear Joffm,
Thanks for the fast answer. I hide the tip, it is also shown on the front page of the 'Multiple numerical input' question: Tip hidden: yes. But the tip is still shown ('Only numbers may be entered in these fields') when I check the preview of the question. Do I need to modify anything else or is it a bug?

(I will do the translation of this question you recommended in the newt few days to contribute to the community, but I have to fix this now...)

Well, tested in Version 2.06+ Build 160129

Template: default.

Template: basic

In both cases the tips are not shown.
Which template do you use?

Anyway, you should consider an update.

Translation for older versions is not available anymore. Only for the newest versions.

So you probably will have to do the translation within the PO files for your version. But it would be great to have someone to help with Hungarian for the new version.

For 2.7x Hungarian seems to be almost 100%, for 3.x it is 99%. So I assume that the problem is with the very old version that you are running.

I answer at the LimeSurvey forum in my spare time, I'm not a LimeSurvey GmbH employee.

Dear Joffm,
I use the bluengrey template, there the 'hide tip' still does not seem to work... I understand your versions advice and the PO file possibility, just reporting that maybe the the template causes the problem?

Even in "bluengray" it works in my installation.

Try: In a copy of that template add to the "template.css"
Code:
.questionhelp {display:none;}

Thanks! I suppose it hides the hints for all the other questions as well, doesn't it?

Yes, I come back to my remark:

Yes, that's what I was thinking of. Thank you! (Though I will do some Hungarian translation for the community for the latest version after updating. First I must finish this project with my current version.)
