I created a very simple survey which uses 2 questions with multiple short text input fields. Questions are on seperate pages. Now I see a difference behaviour on Internet Explorer (latest version on Win 10) and Chrome (Version 61.0.3163.100 on Mac).

When I enter some text into the input field and press enter, then

  • on Chrome I navigate to the next page (i.e. next button is activated)
on IE I navigate to the previous page (i.e. previous button is activated)

  • Expected behaviour would be, to come to the next page (as on Chrome)

Any ideas how to solve the issue with IE?

    Hello,
    I could reproduce this behaviour.

Well, the rest depends on your time.
If it is urgent, just disable the "previous" button.

Sorry, no idea why IE shows this behaviour.

    Hi Joffm,

thanks for your fast reply :-)

Disabling is not a good option - navigating back is a must for this survey. Any other idea how to fix this issue?

Opening a bug report. What version of LS is showing this buggy behavior? Or using more than one LS installation and using a older LS version as a stable version.

And if you can test with previous version of IE too. Maybe it's an IE bug …

    Maybe it's an IE bug

Wow, that would be odd! :)

    ;) Seriously :)

The default submit button (for “What happen when click enter on text input without JS”) is here : github.com/LimeSurvey/LimeSurvey/blob/59...ntimeHelper.php#L966

But with IE7 or lower broken about other behaviour github.com/LimeSurvey/LimeSurvey/blob/0e...urvey_runtime.js#L95

But maybe we can just add a hidden input name move with value default (or movenext)
