I try to setup an array-type question. Unfortunately the layout includes the answer options in all cells in the table, while I only want it in the table header. Any ideas how to change this (I am quite sure I am just too stupid to find the easy way).

That sounds like a custom template problem. Test with one of the core shipped templates.

Sure... how could you (me neither as I adapted and adapted form adapted version of adapted versions.... I though you might know whether it is in CSS or any other specific file in all templates....

... I will start adapting the default again now... seems to be easier

Yes. I'm guessing that it is a template originally designed for pre 2.5x and those are not compatible with the newer versions of LimeSurvey. Far simpler to modify a shipped template.
