Question on conditions was created by RanaChehab
Dear Sir/ Mme,

I need to add a specific condition to one of my questions in LimeSurvey but I am not sure how.

One of my survey questions is the following:

18. What topic(s) does the webpage discuss?
• General information on dietary intake
• Intake of specific food groups
• Foods to be avoided
• Energy needs
• Others, specify

Then, the following question 19 is:
19. Is the presented information compliant with the guidelines? Specify how.
• Yes, specify
• No, specify
• Can’t tell, specify
• Not applicable, specify

I want question 19 to appear for each of the topics checked in the previous question 18. So for example if someone chose 2 topics in question 18, I want question 19 to appear twice and to be linked to each of the answers chosen in question 18.

I hope I am clear enough.
Thank you.

This kind of feature is called Looping.

Sadly LimeSurvey isn't offering a looping-feature.
So you will have to copy all questions manually and use conditions to display them.

Hi, RanaChehab,

a different approach is to use an array (text)

18. Is a normal multiple question.
19. an array (text). As I see here the respondent only has to enter the specifications.
Here you set the matrix filter to Q18.

But you have to validate that the respondent only fills one cell per row.

See screenshot and sample.

Best regards
