Hi I've searched the manual and posts and have had no luck understanding what 'lastpage' is.

I hope to to relate the value of 'lastpage' to an actual survey question. I assume lastpage indicates the very last question that the survey respondent saw before he quit (if he quit). But no idea HOW to relate the two entities.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It is exactly what you described.

As Limesurvey has 3 different modes to display the questionnaire (complete, question by question, group by group) this is either the last question seen for question by question mode and the last group of questions seen in group by group mode. Which question or which group this is depends on your questionnaire layout.

What do entries with "-1" or blank entries in the column "lastpage" in the answer table mean? My current survey uses the group-by-group format.

Someone who getr to the first page but don't go next page. Can happen with prefill url or default value set.

I think it can be -1, i didn't understand how you can get empty value ?

That is what I don't get as well. Unless someone can correct me on this, I'll count both entries with "-1" and blank entries as respondents who left after viewing the welcome page.

I think it was always -1 when starting. I don't know when you have empty. Must be tracked i think .....

Question here: is there an easy way to force last page to 1 (essentially when using token, ensure respondants will always retake the questionnaire from the first page)?

That's the use case indeed Holch: I have token based persistance activated, but would like that every time my respondant come back to their response, they start from page 1.

I have not been able to find a setting for that yet
