Hi there, I'm using LimeSurvey Version 2.05+ Build 140520 and across multiple non-anonymous surveys (using tokens for invitations) all responses have the default timestamp of 1980-01-01. Is there a setting or config item we're missing?

We have LimeSurvey running on PHP 5.56 and Apache 2.4.

What does "Survey setting" -> "Notifications & Datamanagement" --> "Date stamp?" say?

Ah yeah, it says "Responses will not be date stamped" and that this cannot be changed.

So has the survey creator missed the opportunity to turn this on at survey creation?

Exactly. If you want the date stamp, you mark it there before you activate the survey. And when you activate a survey you get asked again if you would like to have the date stamp or not (and the timings):
