I hide/show answers depending on previous question/answer.
e.g.
There are three cafeterias with different offers like salad bar, hot drinks, lunch menu but the offers are not the same in each cafeteria. So I want to hide the option which is not available in the selected cafeteria.
first question
Which cafeteria do you visit?
#1 blue cafeteria
#2 red cafeteria
#3 green cafeteria
second question
Why do you visit your favourit cafeteria? Because of...
(answers by previous selected #1 blue cafeteria)
#1 salad bar
#2 hot drinks
#3 lunch menu
(answers by previous selected #2 red cafeteria)
#1 salad bar
#2 hot drinks
(answers by previous selected #3 green cafeteria)
#1 hot drinks
#2 lunch menu
It depends on the Limesurvey Version you are using.
LS2.06+ offers subquestion relevance, which would allow you to only show items in the second question depending on the answer of the first question.
When using LS2.05+ or lower you would create three versions of the second question. And use conditions to display only one of three question depending on the answer of the first question.
Thank u guys. I have found a solution using the matrix filter function. Further, I created some hidden questions with prefilled answers in between the two questions which I wanted to connect logically. If anybody is interested in my solution, I `d be glad to offer more details.
