406 error when editing CSS files in template editor

I consistently receive a 406 error whenever I try to "Save changes" after editing CSS files in the template editor. It occurs on all templates. All of the files in the lime/upload directory have write access (777).

I can save "standard files" like startpage.pstpl, navigator.pstpl. Under "CSS & Javascript" files, I can save .js files (e.g., template.js).

But I cannot save .css files. That consistently generates a 406 error. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I'm running the latest stable version, 2.05+ 13042015.

Thank you!

I think you need to talk to the administrator of the server.

Help us to help you!
  • Provide your LS version and where it is installed (own server, uni/employer, SaaS hosting, etc.).
  • Always provide a LSS file (not LSQ or LSG).

That was the problem. My web hosting company disabled mod_security on my account and everything works great. Thank you holch!
