I can't add a new key

I can't add a new key was created by c8a1f35f9820
Hello.

We have renewed the ComfortUpdate subscription, but we were not able to remove the expired one. This only happens to us in version 3.28.38 since in version 5 it has worked without problems.

We press Yes and it is not deleted.

Is there a way to remove it via the database?

Probably best to open a support ticket with the Limesurvey GmbH. You are a paying customer of the ComfortUpdate and only they really have insight on this feature. Chances that some employee of the Limesurvey GmbH will show up here in the forum before Christmas is probably pretty slim.

According to my knowledge, paying customers for "Comfort Update" do receive support regarding "Comfort Update".

Sounds like the first level support just read "community edition" and send a standard text back.

Not sure what else to tell you. I have sent a message to my contacts at Limesurvey GmbH, let's see what they say.

But to me this sounds like someone at the support team didn't get the memo.

Hello everyone,

We investigated the issue.

Unfortunately, this issue requires a manual patch, because it happens even before the updater update.

Edit the file
/application/views/admin/update/manage/manage_key.php

Search in this file for the text delete_key and replace it with deleteKey.
Save the changes.

Also edit file
/application/views/admin/update/manage/subscribe.php
Please replace text manage_submitkey with manageSubmitkey
Save the changes.
Now, removing the old key and adding a new key should work.

is this true for ANY LS3 or LS5 installation, or just for the specific version used here (LS 3.28.38)?

LS5 doesn't have this problem. Only a small range of LS3 versions has this problem (and only if your key expired and you need a new one).
