is it possible to create multiple user accounts in Limesurvey where the registered users can create an launch their own survey ?

Yes, you can create admin users other than initial one ("Superuser" permission). You can create users who are able to create and edit surveys ("Surveys" permission).

I tried that...but Limesurvey sends out an email to the user consisting the password . This is where the problem occurs.

I'm getting an error message saying the email failed.

is it possible to set the password right there instead of mailing the password to ur inbox ?

After creating the user, you can go back and edit the user's password.

Go into the email settings of the backend and configure it correctly. See what method is currently used (probably PHP). I would recommend to go for SMTP, I think it causes less trouble.

Set up the email account you want to sent emails from. I think it is quite selfexplanatory and depends heavily on your email provider, so there is not much we can help.
