Qcode rather than SQGA column naming in the live Mysql file - is this possible?

By default [I think] Limesurvey creates the Mysql database using SQGA naming convention.
Can this default be changed to Qcode? i.e. so that the Mysql database has Qcode names.
I'm referring to the live working file not a download. I want to access the LS Mysql file while the survey is live - not a downloaded version [I currently do this using the SQGA names which I find confusing].
Expression manager has the ability [sort of] of using Qcodes.
Anyone doing this successfully?
Regards
Mark

It's not the default, but the fixed behaviour.
