I have a survey with randomized groups of questions. If a person saves their responses halfway through and then comes back to the survey they're unable to continue from the place they left off, because LS re-randomizes the groups. As a result this person has to go through all the groups and questions again in a different order and this time the answers for the questions they previously answered are pre-filled. This can be confusing to the respondent and means that saving the questionnaire is basically pointless because you have to go through the whole thing again.
(How) can I tell LS to only randomize the groups once for every respondent?
I think there is no way to tell Limesurvey to only randomize the groups once, as the randomization order is not stored, but actually random on the fly (from what I know).
Help us to help you!
Provide your LS version and where it is installed (own server, uni/employer, SaaS hosting, etc.).
Always provide a LSS file (not LSQ or LSG).
Note: I answer at this forum in my spare time, I'm not a LimeSurvey GmbH employee.
