I would like to know if is possible to use Limesurvey for my academic research, but I already have a MySQL Database with part of results. What I need to Know is that is possible create the questions of my questionary using LimeSurvey and use my DataBase.
To be able to import your partial results they would have to follow the exact structure and format like in Limesurvey and I guess this would be a lot of work.
If you are thinking about collecting new data, I would use Limesurvey just as normal and then export the results from both databases and bring them together by formating the tables correctly.
Where do the data in the MySQL database come from?

Provide your LS version and where it is installed (own server, uni/employer, SaaS hosting, etc.).
Always provide a LSS file (not LSQ or LSG).
