Leading zeros removed during display

Hello,
I have created a question that displays text and numerical data in a grid form.
This survey also uses token records. When the attribute value begins with zeros, the zeors are removed and the number is changed.

I am using LimeSurvey Version 2.05+ Build 140226.
I've attached a copy of the survey.

Hi,

Numerical is numerical , the 001==1
If you want to kee the leading 0 : use Text.

Btw, your version is old and very unsafe. Please update.

I am using the short free text question type for the zip code value and the Numbers Only field is set to NO.

Where does this happen? In the LS database or in Excel for example? Could be actually a Excel problem...

Help us to help you!
  • Provide your LS version and where it is installed (own server, uni/employer, SaaS hosting, etc.).
  • Always provide a LSS file (not LSQ or LSG).

It occurs when the instrument is launched.
I've attached a document that explains the issue.

I don't have a solution but this is not a problem with the token attribute, it's a problem with the way EM is piping in the value of the "ZIP" question.

The default value is being loaded correctly into "ZIP" but if that question is hidden by conditions it is not piped correctly.

If you remove the conditions from "ZIP" so it is always shown or modify the value of "ZIP", the piping works fine.

.

I need to keep the condition so that if the value is updated by the user, the updated value displays.

What is really weird is that it not only removes leading zeros. It also changes the actual value from "00123" to "83".

I think this needs to be investigated further. Could you please make a bug report?
