I work on a research project that is administering surveys to subjects in the clinic on an iPad. However, sometimes the subject is not able to complete during her clinic appointment and takes a paper copy of the survey home to complete and send back to us.

When that happens, I have the staff follow a link from a research tracking system to add a survey for the subject, basically a link to the "data entry screen" in the responses menu. When staff follow that link they have already via the outside system indicated the subject research id (token) and I would like to pre-fill the token on the form.

So if the url to the data entry screen is this:
citess2.fhcrc.org/limesurvey/index.php/a...view/surveyid/883785

Is there some way to pass the token in via the url? I tried:
citess2.fhcrc.org/limesurvey/index.php/a...d/883785/token/12345

But that didn't work. SO I tried pre-filling a non-token field to see if that would work:
citess2.fhcrc.org/limesurvey/index.php/a...83785X997X8806=12345

Any suggestions?

There no prefill system or token system in dataentry, only in public survey.

A dataentry can be only loaded with survey.id.

Solution 1 : Call survey by a public link
Solution 2 : Find a way for the outside system to : create response survey for token, get the survey.id and use the link with survey.id.
