Hello,

I'd like to set a question with a list of answers that combines lists from two previous questions. The new list should contain checked answers form two previous multi-choice questions. Can i do it with LS? :)

Kind regards,
Andrzej

Yes, you can use array filter to filter answers in Q3 by those checked in Q1 or Q2.

Give all of the answers in Q1 and Q2 unique codes and then give the answers in Q3 codes that match those.

Here's a working example:

File Name: limesurvey...5541.lss
File Size:23 KB

Hi,I tried to download the file with the multi-choice lists, but I was not able to save it to my computer as a lss file. My browser (IE 11) just opens it (see attachment). When I try to save it from my browser, I'm presented two options, neither of which amounts to a lss file:
  • Webpage, source only (*.xml, *.xht, *.xhtml, *.svg
  • Text file (*.txt)

Subsequent import in LimeSurvey fails of course, because the file type is incorrect. Do you have any suggestions to save the file attachment as a "real" lss file? Thanks a lot!

Save it as a .txt, then go to the file location and change the extension to .lss (as if you were changing the file name).

I followed the instructions and changed the file extension to .lss. I also consulted the following help pages provided by Microsoft:

However, when I tried to import the lss file in LimeSurvey, I got this message (see attachment). What should I do?

Thank you for your response. I tried to import the file as you suggested, but I got the following error message (see attachment). According to the LimeSurvey Issue tracker, this error results from the questionindex field, which is not supported in version 2.00+ Build 131009 (the version I use).

Source: bugs.limesurvey.org/view.php?id=8078

Is this file also available in a format that is supported by version 2.00? I can't update to version 2.05 myself.

No, sorry, I don't have that survey in 2.0 but you can simply follow the instruction regarding array filter above.
