I've just discovered after a long time of inputting information into 'List (dropdown)' Question Type that it appears to be limited to 244 choices/answers/options. Is there a way to increase this? I probably need around 500 as it's a drop-down list of UK councils?
Did this bug is reported in the bug report system ?

This has been reported in the bugtracker system recently and was closed. See:

. I was having the same issue with a number of 1000+ answers in a dropdown list. I increase the max_input_var in PHP as suggested in the bugtracker and it worked.
I try the solution adding to php.ini max_input_vars = 10000 and does't work
I put in the label a list of municipios/County with 1200 entries, for example
