Can I work on a survey offline, get everything ready to go online and then connect the survey to my website online, like you can do with f.e. Dreamweaver? I can't find a program to install on my computer in the files I downloaded (an .exe file or the like).

Afaik you need an webserver+php+mysql infrastructure for limesurvey.
apache+php+mysql is also available under windows - google for WAMP (all in one package) or get it from here ( www.wampserver.com/en/download.php ).
anyway, but this wont fix the sync problem, syncing offline surveys with your server. maybe sync could be done by a script, which extracts data from mysql and sends them to your server.

and its easy to export a lime survey (survey.lss files) and import it on your notebook.

Yes Sander you can work offline quiet easely, and export/import everything online!

LS is a server side web application, so you have to install a (virtual) server on your computer...
Depending on your OS you can install a complet Apache server using one of those open source software:
XAMPP, WAMPP, TOMCAT, MAMMP

I am personnally working with MAMMP on a Mac with total satisfaction...

( With your new installation you may give up with Dreamweaver for Joomla or Wordpress )

how do you sync/collect your answers?
e.g in an distributed environment of 50 persons with windows notebooks.
they are no computer experts, they need a simple 'send data button'.

1) Have a look on this post about LS+Tomcat6 ..It's true that it seems to be more complicated than the other options!

2) To export/import the results it's easy with the .VV files (results tab). You can for example import and add all the results given for the same survey to persons collecting data with different local machines (in this case you just have to edit the first line of the VV file you want to import to match the correct column IDs of your database of destination)
There is not 'send data button' but you can reach any page located in admin. side with the correct URL, but you will be ever asked for login & password...
In your case https://localhost:8888/LS/admin/admin.php?action=vvexport&sid=1234

askoura, you need to stop spamming these old topics.

Since all posts of askoura are promoting one website you might ask the owner of that website in the next team chat.

To be honest, I don't see such a big deal.

There is a demand for this offline app and in these threads are potentially interested people, even if quite old.
