Some of the people that I need to survey are working from very remote areas - typically with intermitant internet, and no access to printers.

Does Lime Survey have any possibility to do the survey in an offline status, and then upload the responses once a connectiopn is available?

That's exactly what the new " OfflineSurveys " Android app does. It creates an offline version of any Limesurvey survey which can be used at any Android device.
Once Internet connection is available again, it can automatically sync all responses .

OfflineSurveys supports all LimeSurvey question types, Expression Manager features and conditions, placeholders, ... and most other LimeSurvey features. It even offers several additional Android multimedia question types to e. g. take a picture, record a voice note or store the current GPS location.
