Hi !

I'm using this exemple to build an extensible/dynamic array in LS6 , found in the Deutsch forum

I finally understand that i need to precode my X-Scale like with this subquestion : X001, X002, X003, X004, X005

My question is about the Y-Scale, is there a way to not define in advance the number of entry ? Because i don't know how much item/row the people need to describe their items here.

Best Regards

Hi,

Of course, not.
When you activate the survey the structure of the answer table is defined.
Therefore you need a defined number of rows and columns in it.
(To be honest, it's the disadvantage of the flat file data structure.)

You have to decide about a maximum number of rows.
You may set this rather high. But keep in mind the restriction of the database (not LimeSurvey) regarding maximum number of columns.
