Clickable EEG topoplot

More

Hello,I want to show a topoplot (EEG scalp map) in LimeSurvey where participants can click on electrodes, and each click should select a multiple-choice option (e.g. Fz, Cz, P3). The selection should be saved as normal survey answers (not just X/Y coordinates). My goal:
  • Image of topoplot as background
  • Clickable points (hotspots) at electrode locations
  • Clicking toggles the corresponding multiple-choice option
  • Participant can select multiple electrodes
Question: Is there a known solution or example in LimeSurvey?LimeSurvey version: Version 6.8.2+241203

Hi,
probably you could use the question theme "points of interest".

Adapt it by
  • hiding the not used marker
  • resizing the used marker
  • hiding the comment field

Drag the marker to the desired point.

In a question of type "equation" you calculate and set the options of your multiple question.

I can't help more without further explanation about the position of the electrodes.
And a lss export of this part of the survey.

Best regards
Joffm

A simple image map will not come close to meeting the requirements.

Hidden checkboxes will need to be toggled and there will need to be a visual indication of which points are selected (also on returning to the page).

As the clickable points are fixed, I don't think the Points Of Interest theme will work here.

I don't like image maps so I think I would position the checkboxes relatively over the image and modify their checked state styles.

Cheers,

I just followed this requirement

The selection should be saved as normal survey answers

The respondent selects some electrodes (points)  and the survey stores the location name.

I admit I do not know thereal goal of this.
I see it as a test, saying "Please, fix electrodes at F4, F7, T3, T5, P3, Cz, C2" and the survey stores the selected points.

I do not take it as an instrument that shows the electrode location name at the moment you click it.

Furthermore I do not know which system is used.
Doesn't seem to be the internationel 10-20 system.
Or, is it, with some additional "fake" locations?

As anybody knows I am not really familiar with javascript, but I am good at expressions.
Therefore I stay to it.
