Please help us help you and fill where relevant: Your LimeSurvey version: 6.15.19+251017 Own server or LimeSurvey hosting: University of Coimbra Survey theme/template: herdar [fruity]
==================
I imported one survey into another, assuming that the two would be combined. However, the imported survey replaced the existing one and I lost the survey I wanted to expand. Is it possible to recover the previous version of the survey?
Thank you very much for your help.
Like Tammo: Limesurvey does not save versions of your survey. When you delete or overwrite something and don't have a backup in form of a LSS file or a database backup, the previous version is gone.
Always good to save an LSS file from time to time to have versions of your survey.
But how did you import a survey into another survey? Not sure where you would do this and how you can do this?
You can import question groups (via LSG file) or questions (via LSQ files), but I wouldn't know where you could import a LSS file into a survey. I am a little bit baffled how this could have happened.
Help us to help you!
Provide your LS version and where it is installed (own server, uni/employer, SaaS hosting, etc.).
Always provide a LSS file (not LSQ or LSG).
