Hello!
I am having trouble creating a truly closed-access survey in
LimeSurvey Version 6.15.4. In older versions, I there was an explicit dialog during activation to switch a survey to "closed-access mode". I am missing this clear step in the current workflow. Here are the steps I'm taking:
- I create a new survey.
- I create the participant table by adding a first (test) participant under the Participants menu.
- I have also enabled Allow public registration, because I want users to be able to register themselves.
- Then, I activate the survey.
Expected Behavior:
When someone opens the public survey link, I expect them to be prompted to either enter an access token or see a registration page before they can start the survey.
Actual Behavior:
Instead, anyone with the public survey link can directly access and complete the entire survey. It seems the participant table and the registration requirement are completely ignored.I've already tried deactivating and reactivating the survey and testing the link in an incognito browser window, but the survey remains open to everyone.Could someone please clarify the correct workflow in version 6.15.4 to enforce a closed-access or registration-required survey? Am I missing a crucial setting, or could this be a bug?
Thanks, Micha
