Data interpretation by Department was created by the-workplace-happiness-institute
Hi all,
I want to create a survey, where participants from an organization first enter their department, followed by 70 questions.
Now I want to interpret the data, for each department seperately.

Is that possible? And if so, how can I do that? Thanks in advance for any help!
Kind regards,
Andreas

Hi,
the usual way to do this is to create crosstabs.
Each analyzing tool gives you this option.

Or you filter the dataset by the department and create tabs for each one.
This last option is also available in LimeSurvey.

Like Joff.

Limesurvey is primarily a data collection tool, not a analysis tool. It has a very basic "statistics" function. But as said, this is very basic and is maybe good enough to get a first idea of how things are going during fieldwork, rather than for a full fledged analysis.

Use a tool like a spreadsheet (Excel, Calc, etc.), SPSS/PSPP, JASP, etc. to create cross tabs that allow you segment your audience and show the different outcomes per segment.

In Limesurvey, you migh be able to filter based on the department question and Limesurvey will show you the result for that department only. But this is far too much work, going through it for each department.

Download the results in CSV or Excel, oben a spreadsheet and create cross tabluations (it is called Pivot Tables in Excel for example).

Help us to help you!
  • Provide your LS version and where it is installed (own server, uni/employer, SaaS hosting, etc.).
  • Always provide a LSS file (not LSQ or LSG).
