Hello everyone,

I’m working on a survey in LimeSurvey that has two stages. In the first part, respondents are evaluated, and if they qualify, they are automatically redirected to another platform to complete the next stage. Once they finish that stage, they need to return to the initial LimeSurvey survey to continue answering.

I know this is possible, but I’m not sure how to implement it correctly. Could anyone guide me on how to set up the redirection so that respondents can return to the survey at the right point?

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Is this a closed (with tokens) or an open survey?

It could be done with either a closed or an open survey, whichever makes the implementation easier.

I think it will only be possible (or at least a lot easier) with a closed survey. If you use participant persistence your respondents can get back to the same place in the survey they have left off. I don't think you can do that with a open survey.

So you basically let them fill in the form, then get to a text display question where they open a link to the external tool. You need to pass the token through to the other tool and then back to limesurvey (using the token link). Then the respondents should end up at the same page that they have left off.
