Sorry, but I am not quite sure what you are trying to do. You CAN get the answer to a textbox with the question code, like this: {Qcode}
If you are not able to do so, please provide us with a LSS file (only the relevant questions) and upload it here, so we can try to reproduce what you are doing.

Provide your LS version and where it is installed (own server, uni/employer, SaaS hosting, etc.).
Always provide a LSS file (not LSQ or LSG).
