Own server or LimeSurvey hosting: Research center (internal company) server

Hi,

the panel provider that we are working with sent us this request: "Could you please share the monitor link (from where we can check the progress) of this project?"

A specification by the panel provider: "Regarding monitor link: We have to check that how many completes are achieved in this survey.
So, is it possible to share the monitoring link from which we can check quotas limits and how many completes are achieved in the survey?"

I haven't found any "monitor link" option in the settings or any post on the forum and I'm hesitant to give an external organization access to the settings of our survey. Does anybody have any experience in this regard or know where I can find the monitor link?

There is no such thing. Without creating a custom portal, this information can only be seen by survey administrators.

In about 20 years of working with panel providers, I have never seen such a requirement.

In about 20 years of working with panel providers, I have never seen such a requirement.

Usually a panel provider receives everything needed by the redirects.

Nevertheless:
Sometimes I create a small dashboard.
Here an example.

same here. All Panel providers that I know work with redirects. So screenouts / closed quotas receive a different redirect link than those that complete the survey, etc.

Because at the end of the day, they need to know exactly WHO has participated not just how many. This is a weird request from a panel.

Help us to help you!
  • Provide your LS version and where it is installed (own server, uni/employer, SaaS hosting, etc.).
  • Always provide a LSS file (not LSQ or LSG).

Thanks everybody for the replies. Seeing as I have relatively little experience with panel providers so far, that is very helpful information.

The panel provider's redirects had already been implemented as well, which I thought covered the issue. So this request caused some confusion on my end.

I'll update the topic when the issue is resolved.

UPDATE: When I explained that the survey service doesn't support "monitoring links", I was requested to provide regular updates on the number of completes: "Also, please share the regular update with us (that how many completes we have achieved) on daily or weekly basis"

Again, I don't have much experience working with panel providers sofar, but this seems kind of odd, especially coming from a fairly big brand, recognized, professional panel provider.. We'll see how things go. Thank you for your help!
