Hello Everyone,

I'm currently writing my master's thesis and made a survey on Limesurvey for participants to fill out.
I designed a Video Game, that I included through an external link in my survey. If you click the link, a second window opens up, redirecting you to the page with the Video Game.
The issue I have is as following: I want the participants to play the game for only 5 minutes.

Now my Question: Is it possible to close an external browser-window automatically after these 5 minutes are up (with the timer function or a code) and to return to the survey and continue with the questions?

Greatly appreciate any help!

You could use the JavaScript Window.close() method but you would also need to open the window with JavaScript.

- developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/Window/close

Having said that, it is fraught with risk - you are relying on a timely connection for the game which may not be the case I'm low bandwidth situations.
