Lookup / autocomplete from database

Looking for an option to auto-fill open-ended quation value with previously recorded values (specifically - street addresses).

Addresses are now stored in CSV file and approx 2.6 million rows so having it javascript (pre-loaded in page) is out of question.

Does Limesurvey provide any options for looking the values up from local database (mysql, sqlite etc). There is one workaround for a (very) old version () is this still relevant or is there some new version around?

Not built-in. In my opinion, you will need to make an AJAX call to a remote file which queries your DB.

Hi,
but which version are you using?
In my opinion there is no reason why the solutions in the workaround section.
I still use the first two, but I will give the MySQL solution a try.

the solution does seem suitable, although i am a bit worried about the size of my lookup array (1.2M unique addresses). I see the plugin is for LS v5, any plans/options to run it under LS v6?

Maybe need to add a limit to 10 (or a parameters) on the request, but can be tested without.
And if add a limit : need an order (by population ?)

Surely,
When i have time or a client need it.
