I have a closed-mode survey, and if the survey is not completed and closed, it will keep the progress for some time, but I guess if the session is closed, then the survey starts from the beginning. I know there is the option to save the progress by entering user and password and then loading it-but my question is: is there a way to save the progress without having to enter that information?

Did you encounter this behaviour with "Enable participant-based response persistence:" set to "ON"?
As you read here

there is no mention of "session"

And if you have a look at the answer table you will see that this value (lastpage) is stored here, not in the session.
Of course this is only usable in a not anonymized survey.


And this

is usually used in open surveys or anonymized surveys, where there are no other informations about the participant.

I wonder why you always ignore the questions at the beginning.
