If I use the exclusive options, the relevance equations don't work for me in the next question.
For example I have a question with three unique options SQ001 SQ002 SQ003. When I go to the next question and set these three options as the relevance equation (XX_SQ00.NAOK=="Y" or XX_SQ002.NAOK=="Y" or !is_empty(XX_other) the formula is correct but it doesn't apply. Why?

Send an LSS file of just these questions (copy your survey, delete anything that is not necessary to reproduce your issue, anonymize the questions if necessary) and upload it here.

It is difficult to say what goes wrong without seeing exactly what you are doing. The screenshot just shows a very small portion of what is going on.
Help us to help you!
  • Provide your LS version and where it is installed (own server, uni/employer, SaaS hosting, etc.).
  • Always provide a LSS file (not LSQ or LSG).

Please, make sure that you show exactly what you entered
Otherwise we will complain about something that is only a typo in the forum
(XX_SQ00.NAOK=="Y" or XX_SQ002.NAOK=="Y" or !is_empty(XX_other)

And in your screenshot we see
(D1_SQ003=="Y" or D1_SQ004=="Y" or !is_empty(D1_other)
Here it is obvious.
Missing ".NAOK"
If you select an exclusive option all other options are undefined, not "".
 

Therefore always the best: Provide a lss export if thes relevant questions.
Copy the survey, remove everything not relevant, export and send the rest
