Importing responses from spreadsheet was created by portaisversatec
Please help us help you and fill where relevant:
Your LimeSurvey version: 6.2
Own server or LimeSurvey hosting: own server
Survey theme/template: default / NA
==================Hello! I'm testing LimeSurvey, but I would like to import the responses from my old questionnaires. Some were created using Google Forms, and others were conducted in person and later digitized. That's why I'm trying to perform this import of responses. I downloaded the response VV template and filled in new rows, but I believe that, due to a lack of seed, it imports them blank. Initially, I was getting the error of unmapped questions, but after resolving that, it started importing all responses without content.LimeSurvey creates new IDs (in the exact quantity I want to import), but everything comes up blank. So, I'm wondering if this import function is only useful for importing content from other LimeSurvey installations. Is there any way to import this content using spreadsheets?Thank you!

Hi,
I just tried to export an empty vv-export, fill it with some new data and import it again.
With or without "seed", I didn't see any issue.

So, please be a bit more clear.
Best you send an example of a spreadsheet (with some dummy data) and the lss export of the LS survey you created to import this.
Important is that it shows your problem.

Hm, I don't see empty content.
Did you insert the same image twice?

And send the lss export of the survey.

Which settings did you use to import?

Joffm

And what about the character set? Your *.txt file is not UTF-8 coded.. What is it?

You have two headers, not sure if this is valid.

Help us to help you!
  • Provide your LS version and where it is installed (own server, uni/employer, SaaS hosting, etc.).
  • Always provide a LSS file (not LSQ or LSG).
Note: I answer at this forum in my spare time, I'm not a LimeSurvey GmbH employee.

problem solved... even i'm setting to save as UTF-8, the system saves as ANSI, so converted to UTF-8 with notepad++ and worked.

Thank you very much!

Yes it is.
Therefore the setting: (German GUI)
Die erste Zeile enthält den Code der Fragen:JA/NEIN
