Please help us help you and fill where relevant:
Your LimeSurvey version: Version 3.27.18+210921
Own server or LimeSurvey hosting: Own server
Survey theme/template:
==================
Basically I need take answer code that I set as numerical value of certain sets of answer (version A and version B). Then process them into scale weight.

Sorry english is not my first language so it might be confusing. Also I'm not really a programmer so if their is any video guide, it would be really helpful.

I am not really sure what you are trying to achieve.

You might need to explain it a little bit better, maybe a sketch / image can help to explain?

Off-topic:

Version 3.27.18+210921

Your installation is 1,5 years old and hasn't received any updates, bug fixes and security patches for the same time. You should consider doing an update.

Help us to help you!
  • Provide your LS version and where it is installed (own server, uni/employer, SaaS hosting, etc.).
  • Always provide a LSS file (not LSQ or LSG).
Note: I answer at this forum in my spare time, I'm not a LimeSurvey GmbH employee.

So I need to do a questionnaire where I would ask "Which is more important, A or B?"

- A is more important
- B is more important
- They have the same importance (valued as 1)

If they say "A is more important", they would go to question 1A "How important is A compared to B?"

- slightly more important (valued as 2)
- more important (valued as 3)
-significantly more important (valued as 4)(but the scale would go up to 9)

But if they say B is more important, they would go to question 1B.

First, can you tally up the value of all question A separately and question B separately? I see using the assessment tools you can tally up per question group but I don't think I can work with this since everything would be in the same group.

Also can you set the assessment value as minus? Because then I think I can work around that by having the scale from -9 to 9 rather than 1 to 9 but going both way

like this
Criteria A     -9 -8 -7.....0 +7 +8 +9        Criteria B
instead of
Criteria A    +9 +8 +7...... +7 +8 +9       Criteria B

Instead of assessments, use ExpressionScript to generate your scores in equation type questions.
