==================
 hello everyone,
I would like to implement the following: I have interviewed people (x) beforehand and have their data in an Excel file. Now I would like to survey other persons (y) with limesurvey and give them the possibility to display information about one of the persons (x) surveyed before. That means the person y1 should get the possibility to "uncover" a number of n information about person x1 ( this could be randomly matched) - so it is a kind of personalized survey where the answer categories of a question correspond to a row of a pre-surveyed dataset. It is not a real time matching so you don't need something like z-tree or similar. I hope my project became understandable in some way.
Does this work with limesurvey ?

many thanks for your help

Caro

I am not 100% sure if I understood what you are trying to do, but it sounds like this could be solved by a token based survey. You can save the answers given by a person previously as a custom attribute and then pipe these answers into the questionnaire for the new person.

You will have to prepare the token table based on the results you already have in excel.

Help us to help you!
  • Provide your LS version and where it is installed (own server, uni/employer, SaaS hosting, etc.).
  • Always provide a LSS file (not LSQ or LSG).
Note: I answer at this forum in my spare time, I'm not a LimeSurvey GmbH employee.

Thank you for your answer holch.

Unfortunately, I am still not quite clear what you mean by "then pipe these answers into the questionnaire for the new person"?
I was thinking of it like this. Question: "Do you want to know which gender your interaction partner has?",
then the participant can choose yes or no.
If the participant chooses yes, the information about gender, which I previously stored as custom attribute, is displayed.

Since this is information about the previously recorded persons, this would be different information for each respondent.
So, I want this information to be revealed only under the condition, that my participant clicked Yes before.
Do you think I can do this with LimeSurvey?

This you do by "relevance equation" resp. "condition"
As you missed to answer the initial questions about your LS version, etc. I do not know how it is called in your installation.
