Using LimeSurvey version 5.6.5, own server on Centos

When using Sendgrid for sending out invitations, I tried the solution as described in a previous post:  forums.limesurvey.org/index.php/forum/ca...grid?start=12#211107  

But while my Sendgrid allows me to send out mails from multiple Wordpress sites, I cannot get it to work in LimeSurvey.

I followed the instructions for using SMTP-relay, which says you should use use "apikey" and as the password use the very long password.

But when I want to send a test-mail, I receive an error message:

 

Can anyone give me a direction?


 

I turned off the plugin: mailSenderToFrom (by Denis Chenu) and the problem was gone.

The purpose of the plugin is to get LimeSurvey run with some edge cases.

Force Sender and From address to be the mail address of the account used for sending email.

When the plugin is activated the SMTPuser will be used for the From-Field as well. That will not work in your case where the SMTPusername is not an emailadress.

 

Right, I did not realise this obvious issue...
