Hi, 

I am using quotas to select the right participants for the survey. When the quota is succeeded, they should be sent to an external URL (see screenshots).

 

 

Unfortunately this does not happen... it stops but it takes the participants back to the starting page of the survey.

I have quotas (amount = e.g. 100) and screener (amount = 0) and it happens for both. Did I forget any other setting? I searched already for a while but could not find any clue in this matter.

Hi Ralf,

I know this might sound odd, but can you try setting the survey template to a default one (e.g. Fruity) and see if your redirect still has this issue?

Sure - I tried it with fruity and the same happens: after the negative screening question I am getting the starting page of the survey.

I just tried a small example with LimeSurvey Community Edition Version 5.6.5+230214 and the forwards work as expected.

Test the LSS attached if this works for you. the forward to Google.at throws an error, because it doesn't seem to exist. But if you get the error, you still know that the foward worked.

Hmmm, don't know what happened to the upload, got gargled up somehow. Let's try again.

Hmmm, the system sees to have problems with lss uploads.

Hello Holch, 

thanks a lot for sending the lss archive. I Imported in our system, activated and tested it. Unfortunately with the same results: when I choose Brazil, it takes me back to the start of the survey: 

 

The same happens with the 2nd answer for Austria.
Is there any other setting somewhere in Limesurvey that could cause this behavior?

OK I found a solution! 
A search in another direction lead me to this thread:
forums.limesurvey.org/index.php/forum/de...-not-working?start=6
which is basically the same problem. 
So I tried - again - with another theme, this time I used bootswach (the standard theme) - and the links suddenly work! I have no idea why they did not work with the fruity standard theme but with bootswatch, but I am just happy now that I found a solution. Thanks again everybody for your help, you are great!!!

Well, it sounded like a Theme issue from the beginning. Maybe updating to the latest version will also fix the issue with the fruity theme. I tested with Fruity and it works. So I recommend an update.

I've never managed to find a satisfactory reason why sometimes redirects can 404 by using an inherited template with very minimal CSS changes. Sadly, I have never managed to reproduce the issue reliably.

I've had this (very randomly and very rarely) since LS2.X at least and in each subsequent release.
