==================
Hi all,

I have a question with some subquestions, where participants should provide numbers as answers. Depending on the context it is either a multiple numeric input question or an array(text) question, with the option "only numbers" activated.
My problem is that inidvidual subquestions might be NA for the participants. AFAIK, I can only choose to make the questions "non-mandatory", risking that some people just skip the question, or I make the question "(soft) mandatory", where the participants need to provide a respone for each subquestion (such as 0), risking that they get annoyed and quit.

At first I thought it could be solved by combining "soft mandatory" with the "minimal answers" option, but this does not work.
Is there a simple solution to this?
(I attached a mockup survey as .lss)

Nee, komm,
this is a bit too rough.
I do not see neither a multiple numeric nor an array(text).
I only see an array with one column that you may display as a multiple numeric question.

But you may read my Tutorial 1, Chapter 9. Seems to work for that.

Thanks, Joffm.

Please do not get me wrong, but your response tells that there is no simple solution, which is totally fine for me. That's why I did not provide a full example.

In a way, with my question, I wanted to make sure that I did not miss an obvious setting (ar a combination of settings). I was pretty sure that it is possible with javascript (in the end everything is possible with js). But (for me) sometimes a functionality is not necessary enough to fiddle with js.

I also wanted to point out that the combination of "soft mandatory" and "minmum answer" does not allow what I am after (or what one might be after).

No, my problem is,
I do not know what you want to achieve.

Let's say, in a question of type "multiple numeric", what do you want to see, if one of the subquestions is NA?
An empty field?
In my opinion there must be some criteria to decide if the subquestion was not answered or if it was NA
Though in a survey you would ask this before, that only applicable items are displayed.
An added checkbox where the respondents can select "NA"?
You see, this is easy. There is the plugin "checkBoxFor Text"

Or what?

And in my last post the image was missing

Only the red part.
