Edit Data Policy Text in an active Survey was created by iseksurvey22
Hey there,

I just found a (minor) mistake in the data policy text field that I would like to correct. I know that minor changes within an active survey such as spelling are possible. However, I am not sure if this also applies to data policy text field. As the link/QR-code is already out there I am afraid of affecting it...

Am I safe editing and saving it?

I am using Version 3.15.9+190214

Thanks a lot!

If I understood you correctly, I think that is possible. I have just changed the main. That is, of course, if you want to correct typos and grammar else if you change the rule, it will invalidate the conditions that may or may not have tempted the previous respondents that may not take part under the current data policy

You shouldn't. ;-)

This "thing" is from February 2019, so almost 4 years old now. That means no security updates, no bug fixes for almost 4 years. In times of GDPR (or for you DSVGO) collecting data with a software that hasn't been updated for almost 4 years is really quite "fahrlässig", I'd say.

Should anything happen in terms of a data breach, you really can't say that you did everything to protect the data, with a software that hasn't been updated for so long. Limesurvey is free, there are no license fees involved, so an update doesn't cost anything (only if you use ComfortUpdate - which is NOT necessary - though I recommend it because it makes the update more comfortable, it literally takes less than 5 minutes).

I answer at the LimeSurvey forum in my spare time, I'm not a LimeSurvey GmbH employee.
