I would like to delete one question from my active survey. I have tried to- stop it to see if it works but not.

The manual suggests the VV import and export but. Would I able to assign the current access link https://.........limesurvey.org to the new survey after deleting the old one so that those with the link (open access) can compelete the new version?
 

Simply change the question relevance to 0.

I was also able to hide questions that I do not want to be answered so that they are not visible to the respondents.

The respondent will still notice that the question numbers are jumping...not sure if I could hide question numbers

Never show the numbers, it just confuses respondents if there are conditional questions.
