==================
Good day,

I am using Lime survey version 5 and want to ask im my survey for a period of time (Question is: In which year(s) did you attend the class?)
Therefore i would like to have two dropdown boxes where the years can be selected (Only the years are of interest).
Is this possible?
Thank you in advance :)

Hi,
sorry, what is your question / your problem?
Of course you can have two drop-downs to select the years.

Here a few ways to display it better than two single simple drop-downs
1. Two drop-downs merged with css classes "no-bottom" and "no-question"

2. Two drop-downs inserted into a question of type "multiple short text"

3. A simple array(numbers)

There are some more ideas here in the forum.

Hi Joffm, thanks for the quick answer!

I think my problem is creating two drop downs. I was reading in an other answered question that creating two dropdowns is possible by
1) Use an "Array dual scale" question type
2) In the advanced settings of the question set the display => "use dropdown boxes"

But i cant find the andvanced settings.
Are they called different in Limesurvey5?

Tank you in advance!

No, this setting for dropdown presentation is still there.

Joffm

BTW:
This question type is not the best to ask this.
Reason: You can't validate that the second year is not before the first.
A dual array usually is used for different things.
Like a rating of several topics on two dimensions (importance vs. satisfaction)
