==================
Hello dear forum,

i am trying to find a solution that allows to automatically select certain answers to subquestions in the same array question depending on answers to an earlier subquestion in the same question. The following illustration shall represent the idea and logic:

$100  O   O  10% to get $300
$100  O   O  20% to get $300
$100  O   O  30% to get $300
$100  O   O  40% to get $300
$100  O   O  50% to get $300
$100  O   O  60% to get $300
...

Once someone switches from answer A1 to A2 logic requires for all the follwoing subquestions to be answers with A2 as well. Is there a way to select all following answers as A2 after an selected A2 answer?

As far as i can see, there might be solutions to it using multpile questions (which would create more trouble than benefit) but i cant see how i might work within one Question.

Can someone help me out with this?

Thank you kindly,
rudolf

So, you only want to get one break point.
All answers above have to be 1, all answers below shall be switched to 2.

So, why do you want to use an array for that?
It is a single punch question.
You may use a list(radio), a numerical input, a slider, even a pay-off matrix (question theme)

Thanks for the suggestion. The reason I want to use this particular form is research related. I know / acknowledge that other forms would be more convenient and I have used them.

In this case I have reasons to use this particular form and try to make it somewhat more convenient.

Regardless, I don't think it's a good idea in respect to usability. I think it will be more confusing for the respondent than Joffm's suggestions.

As a rule, the simpler the interface is, the more likely it is that you will get accurate responses.

I can see that point. I guess it might lead to more confusion, especially in a scenario in which this will not be repeatet many times (where learning will catch up and provide more benefits (saved time)).

I guess i will work with the basic version then. Thanks for the feedback!
