Use global variables in surveys was created by Bowie12
Hello,
We frequently create one questionnaire as template and copy (and tailor) it. For example, a student satisfaction questionnaire that is distributed among different universities and courses. In these questionnaires, we refer to the university name and course name in the welcome message and individual questions. We do this by defining participant attributes for these values and including them using {} in the questionnaire. For each participant, we register the university name and course name.
However, some courses require a questionnaire with additional questions. We can no longer use the approach above to add participant attributes.
Instead, want to do the following: Copy a "base questionnaire" and tailor it by adding additional questions. For each questionnaire, on a questionnaire-level, we want to define "global variables" for university name and course name (so on the questionnaire level, not on participant level).
Is this possible in LimeSurvey?
Best, Bowie

LimeSurvey uses questions as a workaround for global variables. You can assign values via default value (if available in the question type) or via expression script.
