==================
I'm asking a bunch of questions about pieces of audio.  Each piece of audio is played from the Group description, as there are many questions on each piece of audio, questions presented by group.

I may be needing around 100 groups or more, so I'm trying to streamline everything, so that the groups can easily be duplicated without much post-duplication editing required.

What I'm hoping to do is to name the audio after each group name and then call the audio with something like src = "{AUDIOPATH}/{GROUPNAME}.mp3"   (The AUDIOPATH variable will be filled by a hidden equation question at the beginning of the survey.)  This will then save me having to update the audio title in every group I duplicate.

But...  how do I get the name of the group - {GROUPNAME} doesn't work in modern Limesurvey?

Hi,
before I think about your idea,
why don't you export the survey as *.txt,
do the copy stuff in EXCEL and import again?
Here you may use a formula.

Hi, Paul,
you are probably right.
{GROUPNAME} doesn't work in the group description, only in question text. (5.3.10.)

And as I understood you want to use the group description for this.

Each piece of audio is played from the Group description

Thanks for trying it for me. As you suggest I'll just duplicate via Excel, so that I can batch edit along the way.
