Which possibility to share the survey with Facebook and Twitter? I am not aware of such a feature.

Can you show me where to find this?

Help us to help you!
  • Provide your LS version and where it is installed (own server, uni/employer, SaaS hosting, etc.).
  • Always provide a LSS file (not LSQ or LSG).

That is what I assume, but then why ask us and not the person who did it? ;-)

Thanks Joffm. I had looked around my LS5 installation but couldn't find anything like it.

Looked again and I don't have this "sharing panel" button. Is this something that needs to be configured?

That makes sense. Just did a quick test and once the survey is activated the sharing panel appears. No idea on how to avoid it though, as I just found out how it appears... ;-)

OK, I understand that you are concered that someone might publish the survey (URL and Headline) on social media.

However, to be honest, this is more a soft skill issue than a technical issue. Yes, these sharing options make it a little easier to share on Facebook and Twitter, but hey, copying the survey URL and pasting it on Twitter or Facebook is not really rocked science, is it?

So if you really don't want someone from your institution to post on social media, you might have to tackle this in a different way anyway, right?

It's not implemented in version 3.x.
Started in 5.x.

So you have to publish it manually.

If you're looking to hide the option to share the survey with Facebook and Twitter, there are ways to disable or hide these buttons depending on the platform you're using for your survey.

Could you please provide more details about the survey platform you're using? Once I have that information, I can offer specific guidance on how to achieve this.

@josefroemo: Your answer doesn't make sense. As this is a Limesurvey forum, the platform must be Limesurvey. I am watching you, should you start any spam attack.
