==================

Hello Folks,

I have a requirement for a survey where multiple individuals will each complete portions of it. All the questions in this survey are mandatory. I have created 5 groups with questions in it. The problem I am facing is that LimeSurvey does not allow a responder to move to the next group of questions before all questions in a group are answered.

One workaround for this that I can think of is, make the questions non-mandatory and when the submit button is clicked, check to see if all questions are answered before allowing them to submit. Is this possible and if so, could someone share a sample code for it?

Thanks in advance.

Have you tried using the index to move around the survey?

Cheers,

Hi Tony,

If you are refereeing to the 'Question Index', then yes, I've tried it and it does not work. It gives the following message, when I try to go a different group:

"One or more mandatory questions have not been answered. You cannot proceed until these have been completed."

In that case, I guess you will have to follow your suggestion about non-mandatory questions with a warning text-display in the last group.

If you use relevance to hide/show this question, you can use JavaScript to hide the submit button if this question is visible.

Unfortunately, I am traveling this week so cannot provide code.

Cheers,
Tony Partner

Index complete, and usage of index button : this allow user to move to the last group if needed.
the test is done when use use move next and when use rsubmit.

It's exactly what you need

Hi DenisChenu,
I've tested 'Question Index' and with mandatory questions within a group unanswered, it does not allow the users to navigate to a different group.

Hi,
I do not see this issue.
Answered or not, I can navigate to a different group.

1: start by update : surely an issue
2. Use vanilla for testing
