I am trying to work out a way of presenting results, but for that I need to know for each question:
- should the question be shown in public statistics?
- Should a chart be shown?
- If so, what type of chart
- What are the additional css classes for this question?
Thanks in advance.

As far as I know, those question attributes are not available with the get_question_properties API method.
I think you will need to access the [prefix]_question_attributes table directly with a SQL query.

Thank you very much, I already suspected this, but was not sure.
Is there a way to use SQL statements via the RPC or do I really approach the database itself via the script?

Yes, you have to do it outside of the API. In some instances, I use both because the API is easier but somewhat limited.
